FOS welcomes Sharon Creveling to the Board of Directors

Please join us in welcoming Sharon Creveling as our new treasurer to the Board of Directors!
Sharon Creveling is an attorney with the Goodwin Firm, where she practices small business employment law, trademark law, and pet law. Her path to the profession was anything but conventional: after earning a BA in Psychology from Cedar Crest College, she returned to school at 40 to pursue her law degree at Stetson University College of Law. Before joining the Goodwin Firm in February 2025, she served the State of Florida as a Dependency Assistant State Attorney, advocating for vulnerable children. That combination of legal training and real-world advocacy shapes how she approaches every challenge — with both rigor and heart.
Animals have been at the center of Sharon's life for as long as she can remember. She has shared her home with dogs, cats, birds, an iguana, chinchillas, hamsters, gerbils, and more aquariums than she can count — each of them, in her words, family. A lifelong animal and environmental advocate, she has personally rescued and nursed countless injured animals back to health or gotten them to the people who could. For Sharon, supporting an organization like Friends of Strays isn't a new interest; it's an extension of who she has always been.
Sharon believes her legal background will serve the board well in its future endeavors, but it's her diverse life experience that allows her to connect with people on every level and help accomplish whatever goals lie ahead. A Florida girl long before she moved from Pennsylvania in 2006, she recently realized a lifelong dream of living aboard a sailboat and is eagerly learning everything she can about sailing and boat maintenance. When she isn't on the water — by boat or paddleboard — she can be found reading, drawing, painting, or doing woodworking with a friend. Surrounded by chosen family and the pets who bring her joy every day, she would be honored to bring her energy and commitment to the Friends of Strays board.
