Friends of Strays celebrated 727 Day!

As St. Pete’s oldest no-kill shelter, Friends of Strays is celebrating 727 Day with an adoption special!
On Sunday, July 27, adoption fees for adult cats will be reduced by $25, and fees for adult dogs will be reduced by $50.
Last year, St. Petersburg was named one of the top 10 pet-friendly cities in the country.
“St. Pete is a pet lover’s paradise, and this is the perfect opportunity for residents to join the community of pet owners while supporting their local shelter,” said Dara Worthington, CEO of Friends of Strays.
Adoptable cats are available at The Cat Box, located at 3015 46th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33714, while adoptable adult dogs can be found at the shelter’s original building at 2911 47th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33714. Friends of Strays is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can also purchase our "Adopt Local" shirts at The Cat Box and show off your love for local animal welfare!
