Cat Adoptions and Administration are located at The Cat Box, 3015 46th Ave. N, St. Petersburg FL 33714. Dog adoptions, MEOW Now, foster, intake, and donation drop off are located at 2911 47th Ave. N, St. Petersburg FL 33714.

December 2024 Shelter and Self-Trapping Closures

Please make note of the following closures in relation to the upcoming holidays:

Shelter closures:

Friends of Strays will close early on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Our hours that day will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The shelter will also be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24 & Wednesday, Dec. 25, in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas; and Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, in observance of New Year's Day.

With the exception of the dates listen above, we are open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

MEOW Now self-trapping intake closures:

Intake will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Christmas week: Intake will ONLY be open Sunday, Dec. 22, and Thursday, Dec. 26.

New Year's week: Intake will ONLY be open Sunday, Dec. 29, Monday, Dec. 30. Typical intake hours will resume Sunday, Jan. 5.
