Adoption special for our doggy "longtimers"

Thursday, April 27, 2023

In the last few months we've have a deluge of cute, wiggly puppies... and that's taken the spotlight off of some of our equally adorable adult dogs! In an effort to help these pups get adopted, we have waived adoption fees for our "long-timer" adult dogs, so all they need is you to take them home!

All of these pups are getting a vacation from the shelter and staying in a foster home. To see more photos of these pets, click here. To meet any of these dogs, just fill out an adoption application and note which dog you're interested in and our staff will reach out to you to set up a meet and greet!

Meet the candidates:

Treasure: When Treasure came into our care, she had to have knee surgery. Now this happy girl is looking for just the right home with someone who will continue to challenge her mentally and physically. She is a quick study and enjoys learning new things. Once she knows someone, Treasure is quite the snuggler and her foster said she loves to sprawl out on the bed with her person. Cats are not her thing, and she's not too sure she wants any dog friends, either. She would love a home where she can be the center of attention!

Pumpkin Pudding (main photo): You ready to binge a new show? Pumpkin Pudding would love to join you. This squishy meatball is ready to settle in to home life. At the shelter, Pumpkin was a little more reserved. She's currently located in foster, where her foster reports that she has bouts of playfulness but overall is down to chill on the couch and hang out. Pumpkin has made some small dog friends but overall prefers her own space. With her laid back nature, small children can be a "lil much" for this plump princess.

Sherman:
Is there a vacancy in your household? Sherman here would like to fill the role! This goofy and fun-loving 4-year-old will entertain you with his big-boy smile and happy personality. Sherman enjoys attention but takes a minute to engage with new people. Once he knows you, he will be your best friend! Sherman loves to play with other dogs but can be a bit picky about who his friends are, so if you have another dog in the home we recommend letting them meet to make sure everyone vibes well together. He would do best in a home without cats.
